  • Zoom Photos

    I'm not sure what you would call this photography technique, but you achieve it by setting a moderately slow shutter, say half a second (I think these about 1/15 second) and you zoom in or out just before you press the shutter release and keep zooming until the ent of the photo. You get this cool sense of movement. You can only do it on an slr or maybe a mirrorless camera, because you need to be able to zoom the lens throughout the photo. You simply can't do that on a compact camera.

  • Goldfinch in our garden

    Here is a photo of a goldfinch, this type of bird has a distinctive red face, you need to put out niger seeds to attract them to your garden because they (and other finches) love them.
